About

" Long sandy beach with shallow and calm waters"

Yngsjö beach is part of a very long sandy stretch (26 km) that runs all the way from Åhus in the north to Kivik in the south along which there are several spots for swimming. Yngsjö beach is the northernmost one and located just south of Snickarhaken beach and the stony reef of Revhaken. The beach is found by driving on narrow roads through an area with holiday houses. Yngsjö beach is quiet, located in a natural setting and lined by grassy sand dunes. The beach is gently sloping towards the clear water and sandy bottom. There is frequently some presence of seaweed. Bring drinks, food and something providing shade. If you look for a beach nearby with more amenities head south to Yngsjö havsbad or for even more action head northwards to Täppet beach.

The fishing industry has been active along this coast since the Stone Age, which has given it the name the Eel coast (“Ålakusten”). - See more at: http://loveforbeaches.com/beaches/tappet-havsbad#sthash.aACOJxoK.dpuf
