Snickarhaken is a sandy crescent-shaped beach located just south of Täppet beach in Åhus. It can be found at the end of Snickarehaksvägen road (northern end of the beach) or Tängvägen (southern end). Low grassy sand dunes and further inland pinetrees line the beach. The clear water is shallow and the sandy bottom is soft and beautifully rippled by the calm waves. Both ends of the sandy beach are rocky. Seaweeds frequently accumulate here which can cause unpleasant odors. However, there is nothing bad that doesn’t bring something good with it, right :) - groups of beautiful white swans assemble here. The roads leading to the beach are narrow and pass through areas with residential houses. There are no restaurants or bars close by so if you want more service head to the nearby Täppet beach further north.
