"Shallow rocky-sandy beach with cold bath house and party vibes"
Skansenbadet is a city beach located in the beautiful summer town of Båstad known for its tennis competitions in July each year. The beach is found west of the marina, close to hotels, restaurants and bars, and is highly popular among party craving youth. It can be crowded and difficult to find parking space. If you look for a more quiet location head for nearby Malenbadet. Skansenbadet is lined by grassy sand dunes. The sand is mixed with an increasing amount of gravel towards the shore and the sea bottom is gravelly. There are scattered boulders both on the beach and in the water, the amount increasing westwards. The waters are very shallow; several piers facilitate getting further out in the water. At some times, particularly in late summer, there can be algae in the water. An option to the beach is the cold bath house. There is no shade on the beach but parasols for rent are available. Emergency phone and first aid is found in the café.
