About

"Sand-pebbles beach near residential area"

Margareteberg is a beautiful beach just by a residential area. The beach is lined by grass where in some sections local keep their boats. The sand is mixed with a quite high share of pebbles and there is frequently quite a lot of seaweed. The beach is sloping towards the shallow waters. Note that there have been some problems with water quality at this beach some summer seasons so check on local information-boards before swimming for current information. In 2014 the water quality was satisfactory. For even more natural setting visit Strandbaden beach just north of Margareteberg. If you prefer a more vibrant area with many amenities visit Kvickbadet in the south. The concrete bunker on the beach is a remains after world war II. It was part of a 500km defense line running along the Swedish coast to protect from potential invasions.
