"Sandy beach with shallow waters adjacent to picturesque street and marina"
Lomma beach (north) is a nice long stretch of sand in Lomma bay. It is one of the most popular beaches in Skåne so it may be crowded. The very shallow waters make it suitable for children. You may walk several hundreds of meters out in the sea. The uneven sea bottom combined with shallow waters creates islands of exposed sand. The sea bottom is sandy. At times there may be seaweed and algae in the water, which may produce unpleasant smell. Adjacent to the flat beach are grassy sand dunes. There is most infrastructure in the southern part of the beach where you find a marina and stone pier. This part of the beach is lined with residential houses and there is a street where you can find various cafés, a local ice cream producer and restaurants. Clear days you can see all the way to Malmö, its characteristic building Turning Torso and the Öresund bridge. (You may even bike here from Malmö, it is only about 10km). The northern part South of the beach is more natural and you may walk northwards from the beach to the nearby Habo Ljung beach and campsite. Overall the atmosphere is more relaxed compared to Ribersborg beach in the city of Malmö. Lomma beach is accessible in the northern part or the southern by the marina. In particular the southern parking areas may be crowded on summer days.
