"Shallow waters over sandy bottom with view over bridge and the city of Kalmar"
Talludden or Granudden beach is a large bathing area in the center of Färjestaden. From this beach you have access to the restaurants, kiosks and shops in the marina and perhaps the yummiest ice cream in Sweden. The main bathing area consists of a grassy field, a part of it has pinetrees that provide shade. The sandy strech is however very limited and narrow and divided over two different sections, one facing west and one south. Large boulders line parts of the beach and in the north it is limited by a cement pier, which is part of the marina. At times this place is added a tropical feeling by the decoration of a set of small palm trees. A swimming pool (fee) is available from which you can see the ocean. Seaweed frequently accumulate near the shore along parts of the beach. The water is extremely shallow allowing to walk out far in the strait. Views are of the bridge and of Kalmar city just across the strait.
This is a great beach to visit with children. It's easily accessible from Kalmar, the parking lot is just by the beach. Water is shallow, there is a playground with shade, and restaurants/ice cream shop on short walking distance. Swimming pool with view over the ocean. If you get tired of swimming there is adventure mini golf nearby.
