"Central city beach with cold bath house, piers & beach party arena"
Borgholm beach is a small one, squeezed in between a small marina and a cold bath house. The latter offers sauna at cost. Just behind the beach is a large hotel that offers beach volleyboll, after beach & night club (and an indoor swimmingpool). There are several restaurants, kiosks and shops nearby. The beach is predominantly sandy with significant sections of large boulders near the shore. The complete stretch is lined by a low stone wall with a raised boardwalk. The water is calm and sea weed and algae is abundant. There is a floating pier extending over the water and a concrete-rock pier separating the beach from the marina. Looking for a larger beach and a more natural setting? Head slightly northwards to Mejeriviken or to Köpingsvik.
