"Wooden short piers extending from residential area"
Sundspromenaden or Bo01 is a place to enjoy the sea located in one of Malmös most modern residential areas renown for its architecture, the western harbor. It is one of the most popular places to be in a summer day for many of Malmös residents. Here you may combine a dip in the ocean with a good meal, sitting on one of the long wooden decks with stairs, looking at the boats in the small marina or indulging in an Italian ice cream of you favorite flavor. There are three small wooden piers extending from a recreational area (Daniaparken) made of concrete stairs, gravel paths and grass. It is not uncommon this bath shuts down periodically due to unsatisfactory water quality. If this is the case when you visit you may take a short walk along the coast to the wooden deck and piers at Scaniabadplatsen or to the kilometer long sandy beach Ribersborg. The shallow waters at this beach provide a much safer location for swimming if you bring children. From the waters you can enjoy the view of the insanely twisted 190.4m high building Turning torso and the mighty Öresund bridge. When the sky is clear you can also see Copenhagen on the other side of the strait. Lifeguards are present during the swimming season (15th of May to 15th of September).
